Janey and Me by Virginia Ironside
Is it every woman's fate to turn into her mother? Agony Aunt Virginia joins Jenni to discuss her memoir of life with her fashion professor and media icon mother, Janey Ironside.

Janey Ironside grew up in colonial India, but was separated from her family at an early age. She married an artist and began dress-making to fill her time during the war. Eventually, as a single mother, she became Professor of Fashion at the Royal College of Art, promoting Ossie Clark among others.
Years after her death, Virginia continues to be mistaken for her mother, she discusses her life as the near double, the burden of being so similar and her hopes to shake off her mother's image.
