Gertrude Hambira started work as a factory machinist in rural Zimbabwe the year after Independence was declared.
A mother of four children she's now leader of the Agricultural Workers Union and a leading member of Women of Zimbabwe Arise.
Gertrude Hambira joins Martha to talk about the effect of the programme of land reforms on her members and on campaigning for women's rights in the current political climate.
