In the early 1900's many of the tombs of the pharaohs were raided by thieves and the stolen artefacts ended up in the hands of private collectors.
One of these collections was donated to a museum in Harrogate 30 years ago where much of it had remained packed away in the basement. Members of The North Yorkshire Ancient Egyptian Group were asked to lend a hand and catalogue the artefacts.
Felicity Finch went to talk to two of the members - Jo Hirons and Ann Murray - about their fascination with ancient Egypt and to see some of the amazing discoveries they'd made.
