Iraqi Women in Reconstruction Many reports are circulating in the media about people being appointed by both the United States and by Britain to run post-conflict Iraq - and all but one of the people named are men.

Many women are also deeply concerned by any attempts to put Islamists in control - as this would have a great effect on women's rights. UN Resolution 1325, which both the UK and UK has signed, urges increased representation of women at all decision-making levels in national, regional and international institutions and mechanisms for the prevention, management, and resolution of conflict.
Minister Patricia Hewitt joins Jenni to talk about what the British Government plans to do to encourage the involvement of women in the Iraqi reconstruction.
