Ìý Increase in Sexual Disease Wednesday 16 April 2003 Ìý
In a new report Professor Michael Adler says the country's sexual health has not improved, but deteriorated - so much so that'we face a public health crisis'. There's been a rise in gonorrhea and chlamydia of some 70 per cent since 1997. HIV, Aids and Syphilis are also rising and STD clinics are said to be overwhelmed by demand for treatment. Teenage pregnancy numbers have yet to fall.

Unsurprisingly, commentators have been busy addressing how these problems might be resolved among young people. Some encourage a Just Say No approach - others want young people to be better informed.
Ann Atkins, former agony aunt and now a freelance writer and novelist and journalist Yvonne Roberts join Jenni to discuss.
