Ìý The Legacy of Joan Littlewood Thursday 6 March 2003 Ìý
Joan Littlewood gave permission for a revival of her musical Oh What A Lovely War the day before she died last year - but there were a couple of conditions - "There must be no bloody acting!" she told the Theatre Clwyd.

Joan worked up to the day she died at the age of 87 and her productions changed nightly as she rewrote lines and scenes, insisting that the plays should never become stale.
Actress Billie Whitelaw, who met Joan Littlewood when she was just eleven years old, described her as her second mother. Billie will be joining Jenni, along with Professor of Theatre Studies Viv Gardner, Manchester University, to discuss the lasting legacy of Joan Littlewood for actors, authors, directors and audiences.
'Oh What A Lovely War' at the Clwyd Theatr Cymru, Runs until Saturday 22 March 2003
