Ìý Wills Wednesday 15 January 2003 Ìý
When Jacky Rowe's husband died he left their house and other investments to her in his will. But his stepchildren from a previous marriage contested the will and it took three years and thousands of pounds worth of legal bills on each side before the matter was settled.

Jacky's case is one of a growing number of disputed wills as families become more complex and rising house prices mean legacies are likely to be increasingly valuable.
Jacky Rowe joins Jenni to talk about her experience. They will also be joined by Richard Bark-Jones, a leading probate lawyer, who tells us what can be done to avoid such a painful battle.
Law Society website has a list of all solicitors regulated by them. You can search for a probate lawyer in your area.
Community Legal Services will put you in touch with your local solicitor or CAB. It has a search facility for legal information.
