Ìý Rosehips Wednesday 11 December 2002 Ìý
Rosehips have been used since medieval times for cooking and for pranks. Children have used them to make itching powder. They are used as a syrup and contain twenty times more Vitamin C than the humble orange.

In the Second World War, volulnteers were sent out to collect hundreds of tons of them every year - all to keep the nation healthy.
Ann Maclean went with the food writer, Mary Norwak, to a country lane in North Norfolk near her home.
The recipe that Mary Norwak uses to cook with Rosehips is supplied by the Ministry of Food.
