Karen Davies is a photojournalist who made her name with her extraordinary 1999 portrait of Pakistan President Musharraf playing with his fluffy dogs just after staging his military coup.
But it was her powerful images of forgotten orphanages in Albania, the Irish conflict, and the famine in Africa which cemented her reputation. More recently she's become known for her diverse images of Pakistan and India, where she's been based for the past few years.
Karen talks to Martha about her often harrowing work as a photojournalist. Truth Files: Karen Davies - a documentary of Karen Davis' work, 9pm Monday 28 October, Nationa Geographic Channel
