As World cup fever unites fans across the globe in a frenzied celebration of all things football, it's only natural to see this common interest as a force that brings the West and the East together.
But are women in Asian countries also united by the globalisation of culture - or are they confronted with the need to choose between conflicting and often contradictory identities?
