Ìý The Women's Library Friday 1 February 2002 Ìý
All this week we've been celebrating the opening of the Women's Library in the East End of London.

As part of the festivities, the library has asked a number of individuals to choose items from the collections that reflect key moments in their lives. Earlier in the week we heard the cookery writer Joceline Dimbleby talk about Barbara Cartland's Food for Lovers and the broadcaster Trevor Phillips used a domestic violence poster from the 1970s to think back on his student days.
Today, it's the turn of the fashion designer Mary Quant. As she tells Corrine Julius, her choice is the cover of a French Vogue magazine from 1949, with its drawing of a woman in a stunning Schapparelli outfit.
