Ìý Dieting Thursday 3 January 2002 Ìý
Susie Orbach, the feminist psychotherapist who helped Diana, Princess of Wales, overcome her eating disorder, has just published a new book entitled Change Your Eating, Change Your Life.

In it, she reiterates the message of her bestseller Fat Is A Feminist Issue, in which she says that dieting is counterproductive and that staying slim is a matter of eating to appetite and accepting the way you feel about food.
Shelley Bovey, who has slimmed down from 20 stone to 13, thinks that Susie makes it sound easier than it really is, and that only self discipline and eternal vigilance will keep her slim. They discuss the issues with Jenni.
On Eating: Change Your Eating, Change Your Life by Susie Orbach (Penguin Books, ISBN: 0141007516, £4.99)
Fat is a Feminist Issue by Susie Orbach (3rd revised edition published May 1998 by Arrow, ISBN: 0099271540, £6.99)
Shelley Bovey is author of What Have You Got To Lose? (will be published on 20 January 2002 by The Women's Press, ISBN: 0704347156, £9.99)
