Christabel Burniston was the founder of the English Speaking Board and has written extensively about speaking English.

She also wrote an autobiography - Life in a Liberty Bodice.
Now at the age of 92, she has just published her first novel, having spent the last five years researching and writing it.
The Brass and the Velvet, is a Victorian family saga of money, family secrets and women's rights, set amongst the cotton mills in North Yorkshire.
She joins Jenni to explain the inspiration behind it.
