Helen Tew was in her twenties when she and her father first drew up plans to sail across the Atlantic. Her father set off on his own but nearly seventy years on, Helen has at last fulfilled her dream too.

Now at the age of 89, she can boast that she's sailed across the Atlantic - twice. Helen shared the four hour sailing shifts with her son Donald throughout the day and night.
Chrissie Kravchenko went to the Beaulieu River Sailing Club in Hampshire to find out if Helen has finally forgiven her father for leaving her behind all those years ago.
