Snowdrops, photo by Scoobygirl, Flickr
Spring is here!

It's the time of year when snowdrops are starting to poke their heads above ground for their brilliant spring display.Ìý There are over 600 varieties, and their arrival is the cue for country houses and estates all round the UK to open their gardens for "galanthophiles" or lovers of snowdrops. Among them is the Cambo Estate near St Andrews owned by Catherine Erskine, who showed Helen Ross some of the millions of snowdrops growing on her land.
