The Twic Olympics 21 Mar 2008
Using sport to change attitudes to girls.

In Twic in Southern Sudan,Ìýthe closing ceremony of the annual Olympic games is taking place. The games were set up to help promote peace between local Dinka clans following decades of war, and to offer girls the chance to be treated as equals, in what’s still a traditional pastoral society. Our reporter Jay Mukoro and translator Elisabeth AkuanyaÌýwent to Twic to find out how the games are helping to change attitudes towardsÌýgirls in Sudan.
