The film maker, painter and weaver shares memories with other mothers in London

Born in Iran, the artist AlinahÌýAzadeh was surrounded by Persian rugs and her mother’s crochet designs. That childhood has had a huge influence on her work as a film maker, painter and now weaver. Alinah's mother died in the Asian Tsunami, three weeks after supporting her through the birth of her first child. Since then she's been looking at her own relationship and those of other mothers and daughters. The women have beenÌývistitingÌýthe Robert Owen Day Centre in Greenwich, South London to discuss their memories, and to weave to create colourful fabrics of their own. Sara Parker went to meet them.
