How Brahms has changed her musicality
The Russian pianist Nelly Akopian-Tamarina was banned from playing public performances by the Soviet State, but was eventually granted permission to leave the Soviet Union and settled in Britain. It was here she re-evaluated her musical world and fell in love with the music of Brahms.
