British breakfasts 16 Feb 2007
The traditional fry up is a national institution, but what are the origins of this very British meal? How has itÌýevolved? And, what does it say about the nation that eats it?

Martha is joined by the anthropologist Kaori O’Connor, author of The English Breakfast; Russell Davies, a breakfast enthusiast and the author of the website Egg, Bacon, Chips and Beans; and, the chef Lawrence Keogh, who serves up the best of what his smart London restaurant, 'Roast' has to offer.

Kaori O'Connor : The English Breakfast: The Biography of a National Meal with Recipes, published by Kegan Paul. ISBN-10:0-7103-1222-9
