What is the best approach for parents?
AÌýnew report shows that parents who combine a warm and responsive approach to child rearing with clear boundaries are more likely to give children the skills they need for success and well being in later life. So what is the impact on children whose parents are more laissez faire, hands off, or authoritarian in their approach? Jane talks to Jen Lexmond, co-author of the report 'Building Character' from the think tank Demos, and to Anastasia De Waal, Chair of the parenting charity Parentline Plus.
