When he came to power nearly two years ago, France’s President Nicolas Sarkozy cast himself as a moderniser, championing a clean break with the country's traditional ruling elite. He did this by bringing more women into his cabinet and in particular those from an ethnic minority background. But with the imminent departure of Justice Minister Rachida Dati, one of President Sarkozy’s rising stars, and talk of more casualities to come Jane asks if this is the end of his dynamic and diverse cabinet? Jane is joined by journalists Benedicte Paviot and Nabila Ramdani to discuss who still remains and how they are expected to fare in the future.
