Pensions White Paper 23ÌýMay 2006
The government's White Paper on Pensions has been described as the biggest renewal of the pensions system since the Beveridge reforms of the 1940s. It's expected that the system will be made fairer for women, many of whom miss out on a full pension because they give up work after having children and don't build up enough national insurance contributions.

But will the reforms be enough? Jenni discusses the implications of the White Paper with Ros Altman, an independent pensions policy adviser, and Age Concern.
