Gretchen Peters was ABC’s correspondent in Afghanistan and Pakistan for 10 years. In her book "Seeds of Terror: How Heroin is Bankrolling the Taliban and al Qaeda" she outlines how the Taliban, from one of the world’s remotest and inhospitable regions, has integrated poppy into the global economy, and how the money they make from drug trafficking funds the insurgency in Afghanistan. She suggests that tackling the illegal poppy trade is the lynchpin to beating global terrorism. Gretchen talks to Jenni about her book and about life as a female foreign correspondent working in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
