Lydia Cacho’s crusade against paedophiles has made her one of Mexico’s most celebrated and imperilled journalists. In 2005, she exposed the web of business and political elites behind a child pornography ring in her book The Demons of Eden. In May 2007 she became the first woman in Mexican history to take a women’s rights case to the Mexican Supreme Court. She has received many death threats, but continues to work to expose corruption, organized crime and domestic violence. Lydia talks to Jane about her journalism.
