Xiaolu Guo
One of China’s most successful literary exports talks about her new novel.

Xiaolu Guo grew up in a small village in rural China. In 2002, she moved to London with only limited English. Last year, her first novel in English, A Concise Chinese-English Dictionary for Lovers, was short listed for the Orange Prize. Now it has been dramatised and is this week's serial on Woman's Hour.
Xiaolu talks to Jane about her latest novel - 20 Fragments of a Ravenous Youth - as well as what it was like growing up in communist China.

‘20 fragments of a Ravenous Youth’ by Xiaolu Guo is published by Chatto & WindusÌýISBN: 978-0701-18156-7
