"Does George Bush's support for drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska signal that nowhere is out of bounds for the prospectors?"
2) Michael Stevenson in Didsbury, Manchester.
"My garden backs onto the Styal railway line which runs between Manchester Picadilly station and the airport. Network Rail North West is removing all the trees between the tracks and my garden fence. Along this six mile stretch they are removing thousands of treses despite local protests. What is Network Rail's policy here and do the public have no say in what they do?"

"I have heard that ice ages can be rapid and dramatic rather than gradual. Is this ture and what factors could be involved in triggering the next ice age?"
4) Jane Dernford in Woodbridge, Suffolk.
"I want to know the latest thinking on mobile phone masts. If they're safe then why aren't they all hidden from view as happens at petrol stations? And if they're not deemed to be safe why are we all living with them?"
