Bernardo Bertolucci:
Italian film director Bernardo Bertolucci has been making movies for over 50 years and is famous for exploring Freudian themes in his work, which, the director says, is down to his 36 years in psychoanalysis. It is also the reason why he has just been awarded an honorary fellowship by the Institute of Psychoanalysis for his contribution to psychoanalysis. Raj interviews Bernardo Bertolucci and talks to Andrea Sabbadini who is the Chairman of the European Psychoanalytic Film Festival.
Ìý
The 3rd European Psychoanalytic Film Festival was organised by the British Psychoanalytical Society, and took place from November 3 to 6 2005 at Regents College, Regent's Park, London NW1.
Broadmoor:
Two hundred million pounds is to be spent rebuilding Broadmoor hospital. But are large, high-security institutions the best places to treat severely disturbed offenders? Raj talks to Kevin Murray, Assistant Medical Director of Forensic Services at the West London Mental Health Trust and Ray Rowden, a Health policy analyst, author and Healthcare Commission Reviewer.
