Suicide Prevention Centre
Around six thousand people take their own lives every year. And for every one suicide there are at least thirty attempts. Most suicides are young adult males - it's the most common cause of death in men under 35.
In order to tackle the problem the government has unveiled its new suicide prevention strategy for England, aiming to reduce the suicide rate by at least 20% by the year 2010. Although it stressed there's no single route to achieving this target, All in the Mind takes a look at a suicide prevention centre in Glasgow that believes it has the answer.
