鈥淭he most beautiful silhouette in the world鈥, that鈥檚 how former Prime Minister, Stanley Baldwin, described the Malvern Hills.
But Helen Mark discovers there is more to the Malverns than just a silhouette as she searches for听 and grass snakes amidst the bracken and grass of the steep slopes.
The wet weather this summer has not only meant that snakes are basking for longer 鈥 so are more visible to walkers, but the bracken has grown to a huge height, reaching 6ft in some places. Helen finds out how the听are coming to terms with their comparatively new role of controlling the spread of bracken
