FILM AWARDS
A ban on producers sending out pre-Oscar DVDs or video copies of their films to voting members of the American Academy, has led to fears that fewer independent and foreign films will be seen by Academy members, leaving the way for big studios to collect more Oscars.
Film producer, Duncan Kenworthy whose credits include Four Weddings and a Funeral and the forthcoming, Love Actually, explains how a similar problem could affect voting members of the British Academy which awards the BAFTAS.
