A favourite song:

I was brought up with the music of The Hot Club of France, Django Reinhardt, and Stephane Grappelli. A few years back I formed a group called Spirit of Django, and we made a few albums. I played at the Django Reinhardt Festival in Samois-sur-Seine in France and I went to this little café called Chez Fernand, which is a place that Django used to frequent. I was just sat there one day and this melody came into my head. So I got out the guitar and wrote it out. Usually you’ve got to craft a composition but in this case, I sat there over a glass of red wine and it just kind of happened. I played it and recorded it several times with my group Spirit of Django, and I named it after the café Chez Fernand!
