A favourite song:
'Byaffe' sums up my passion for Ugandan music but I've composed this in such a way that it uses contemporary electronic instruments whilst also embracing the imaginations and feelings behind those ancient Kiganda rhythms and dances. What I want to convey through these beautiful sounds, is the feeling we had back in the seventies whilst performing live on the Kimpala nightclub circuit. I also wanted to pay homage to our ethnic arts, sciences, maths and history, much of which can often get lost through the generations. Most of all, it's a song that hopefully entices people to dance!
