What is it that makes "Star Dust" so atmospheric? Is it the听dreamy melody or the poetry of the lyrics?

I鈥檝e had the privilege of being on Desert Island discs twice, both with Roy Plomley and Sue Lawley and the one song that I picked that was common to both was "Star Dust" by Nat "King" Cole. Because I think it is probably the greatest, most romantic song ever written and I think that Nat "King" Cole is the greatest, most romantic singer ever to sit by a piano and open his mouth. And I think Hoagy Carmichael is a brilliant, brilliant composer but perhaps even more than that I think Gordon Jenkins is the greatest ever arranger of popular music. If you listen to "Star Dust" by Nat "King" Cole at no point in the magnificent orchestral accompaniment does Gordon Jenkins ever come close to the tune of Star Dust. It is absolutely magical -the most wonderful piece of music And... I want to be buried with it.
