Worcester music community remembers one of its own

A grant has been set up in the name of guitarist Stuart Silcock, who died suddenly last year, only weeks after playing the biggest gigs of his life, at Glastonbury, with his band Chevy Chase Stole My Wife.

StuFest was held at the venue where Stuart first took to the stage, at The Marrs Bar, as hundreds of people - friends, family, and the best of the Worcester music scene - raised money for a new award that will be run by the charity Severn Arts.

The Stuart Silcock Young Musicians' Award will provide music lessons to children who may not otherwise get the opportunity to progress their talent. More information is available on the Severn Arts website.
