Web exclusive: Making arrows
To be a hunter is a quintessential part of being Bushmen. The Bushmen make arrows, a skill they took great pride in showing Gordon and one they hope to pass down to their children.
This put into perspective the lengths some people have to go for food – while we make a quick trip to the supermarket, the Bushmen traditionally have to search for a meal across a vast African savannah with a bow and arrow they fashioned themselves by hand. Their understanding and manipulation of natural resources around them is truly incredible.
