Driffield Beck, East Yorkshire – Brown Trout
Paul, Bob and Ted head to the historic chalk stream of Driffield Beck in East Yorkshire, hoping to catch a wild brown trout, and Ted is spruced up in a local poodle parlour.
Paul, Bob and Ted travel to one of the UK’s most northerly chalk streams, Driffield Beck at Mulberry Whin in East Riding of Yorkshire. The river has a constant temperature of 10 degrees Celsius, which means the environment is like a rainforest, with year-round stable conditions that attract a range of wildlife. It’s an idyllic setting to fish, this time for wild brown trout.
They waste no time getting started but are slightly distracted by Ted, who is obsessed with rolling in the mud on the riverbank, getting himself into a very messy state - leading to Bob booking an appointment at a luxurious doggy spa not far from their fishing spot.
