Edinburgh is set to become the first city in Scotland to impose a complete ban on pavement parking.
The Scottish Government is passing new powers to local authorities and this means motorists could soon face a fine for mounting the kerb.
Councillors are due to vote on the proposal later, but there is already cross party support for the measure.
