Following up from two programmes she made in 1988, Uzma Mir finds out if popular culture and policy-making have influenced attitudes to race, and asks how conversations might change.

In this programme, Uzma Mir examines how some black and ethnic minority Scots have used race and identity to express themselves in comedy and fashion, and how the changing political context in Scotland and the UK has informed our conversations around race. Digging up archive, interviewing well-known black and ethnic minority influencers, and finding out where our policy-makers stand on issues around race, Uzma provides a commentary on where we are now, and what the future might hold.
