Episode 2
Caroline and July compete for Robert鈥檚 attention. Robert announces that he鈥檚 marrying Caroline, but on the wedding night goes to July鈥檚 bed and the two start a passionate affair.
After Robert arrives at the great house, July and Caroline compete for his attention and a love triangle develops. The harvest at Amity is ready to be taken in or the crop will spoil, but tensions are brewing between the workers and Robert. Robert expects the workers to put in long hours; the workers are now free to challenge his authority.
With Robert feeling more and more humiliated with the 鈥榰ngrateful鈥� former slaves, a dangerous stand-off develops between them. July can see Robert changing and this scares her.
