#MaryChain6Music - The Ultimate Jesus and Mary Chain Playlist

Tom Robinson asks listeners to collaborate on a Jesus and Mary Chain-inspired playlist to mark the band's 30th anniversary.

It's 30 (yes... 30) years since brothers Jim and William Reid formed The Jesus and Mary Chain - and with it unleashed their signature distortion-laden jangly guitar sounds, which would later form the foundation for shoegazing.

With a career spanning six studio albums, including indie disco favourites such as 'Just Like Honey' and 'Some Candy Talking', the Scottish alt-rockers are releasing their entire back catalogue in a vinyl boxset for the first time.

So to mark the band's 30th birthday, Tom Robinson invites 6 Music listeners to create The Ultimate Jesus and Mary Chain-inspired playlist.
