Peter Allen and Anna Foster with the day's news and sport. A teacher has been jailed for five and a half years for having sex with a 15 year old pupil and taking her on the run to France. Jeremy Forrest admitted five counts of sexual activity with a child after being found guilty of child abduction. The pair were spotted in Bordeaux in France last September after being on the run for seven days. We speak to Forrest's legal team, a teachers' union and a child protection consultant.
The Health Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, has said he'd back disciplinary action against any current and former members of the Care Quality Commission found to have covered up a report on deaths at Furness General Hospital. The CQC - which is the regulator for the NHS in England - is considering what measures could be taken, including removing pension rights from staff who have now left. Yesterday the regulator named managers accused of suppressing a report which looked at why a number of babies at the hospital died. Our reporter, Rowan Bridge, takes us inside a hospital in Nottingham to speak to staff about the damage to the reputation of the NHS.
The draw has been made for Wimbledon which starts next week. We speak to current doubles champion, Johnny Marray, on his thoughts for this year.
