91Èȱ¬ Northern Ireland's current affairs programme Spotlight has won two prestigious Royal Television Society (RTS) Journalism Awards.
Spotlight won in both the Scoop Of The Year category and the Nations and Regions Current Affairs and News Event category for the special programme Spotlight: The Iris Robinson Investigation, at the award ceremony which was held in the London Hilton last night (Wednesday 23 February).
Peter Johnston, Director, 91Èȱ¬ Northern Ireland, said: "This is a fantastic win for our Spotlight team – particularly with a Northern Ireland story winning in the UK-wide Scoop Of The Year category – and comes hot on the heels of the success at the Irish Film and Television Awards earlier this month.
"This recognition from the Royal Television Society follows Spotlight's long tradition of making award-winning programmes and is a reflection of the dedication of our Spotlight team to produce hard-hitting, high quality investigative journalism."
Jeremy Adams, Head of Television Current Affairs, 91Èȱ¬ Northern Ireland, said: "It's a tremendous achievement to be recognised by the Royal Television Society in this way, being awarded both the UK-wide Scoop Of The Year and Nations and Regions Current Affairs and News Event.

Last night's double award success means 91Èȱ¬ Northern Ireland's Spotlight programme has now won eight RTS Journalism Awards.
