The 91Èȱ¬ has commissioned Initial to produce a brand new Saturday night entertainment series for 91Èȱ¬ One.
Hosted by Jason Bradbury (The Gadget Show), Don't Scare The Hare is a an innovative new family game-show featuring humour and jeopardy.
Each episode combines comedy, tension and slapstick, as two teams of contestants not only have to take on each other but also the star of the show the 4ft, fully animatronic, robot hare.
Staged in the hare's unique world, the two teams must avoid scaring him as they complete a series of funny physical and mental challenges. To test the teams each challenge is full of traps and pitfalls specifically designed to give the hare a fright. And with the hare having an unpredictable personality things are not going to be easy for the teams. With £15,000 at stake in the show's dramatic finale, players have to make sure they do all they can and Don't Scare The Hare. The series will be narrated by Miranda Hart.
Production for the nine-part series is already underway in Scotland and filming commences this week at the new studio facilities at MediaCityUK in Salford Quays. The commission will run as 8 x 40 minutes with a 1 x 40 minutes "best of" compilation show.

Don't Scare The Hare is produced by Initial Scotland, an Endemol company for 91Èȱ¬ One. The executive producer is Tom Blakeson and series producer is Neil Gallery. The 91Èȱ¬ executive producer is Alan Tyler. The series was commissioned by Danny Cohen, controller 91Èȱ¬ One, Mark Linsey, controller entertainment commissioning and Alan Tyler.
