Michelle Williams Pasos out of Strictly Come Dancing

Michelle Williams

In tonight's Strictly Come Dancing results show Michelle Williams was voted off, becoming the sixth celebrity to leave the competition.

The judges' scores left Ann and Michelle at the bottom of the leaderboard but the combination of the judges' scores and viewer votes meant Michelle Williams and Felicity Kendal were in the bottom two with Michelle and partner Brendan Cole being eliminated.

Of Michelle and Brendan's dance, the judges were divided and said:

Bruno Tonioli: "You know what I'm going to say. You know it. You started with a suitable aggression – 'Yeah! I hate that dress get it off me'. It was the right energy but you lost it so many times and once you lost it in the Paso Doble but you need the aggression. But the arms – all the lines were not flowing all the way through. You lost balance – it's true. You have to link it – you can't just throw it."

Craig Revel Horwood: "It was all very gnarled. Knotty, nodulistic. In fact, I think what you're confusing is attack in the dance with pounding and pulverising the floor. You don't have to hit the floor as hard as you're doing for those appels – you're also not bringing you feet together on the appels. Ever. It's very stiff and aggressive Spanish lines."

Alesha Dixon: "I liked the routine especially the beginning – you had such determination in your face. I think you managed to keep the character of the dance throughout and your overall shaping was really good. You did lose balance occasionally but I really liked it, Michelle. Well done."

Len Goodman: "I didn't think it was nodulistic. What I would say is, it started off really well. It started off with the correct aggression – the same aggression you were showing in the practise room – but then as it got on a bit, it sort of got a bit filleted and soft. It lacked sort of any firmness in it. But... first half good, second half not so good."

After their elimination, Michelle said: "I'm sad about going, but you know, at least I don't have to worry about being on the bottom two again! The best thing has been making friends and dancing with the most amazing dancer, Brendan."

The celebrities who also competed this week and escaped elimination were: Kara Tointon, Gavin Henson, Matt Baker, Patsy Kensit, Felicity Kendal, Ann Widdecombe, Scott Maslen and Pamela Stephenson.

Couples danced a Viennese Waltz, a Paso Doble, a Cha Cha Cha, a Foxtrot, a Salsa, a Rumba, an Argentine Tango, a Jive or a Quickstep.

Tonight saw performances from Annie Lennox, Alesha Dixon and The Soldiers.

All remaining couples will be dancing next week in Blackpool to either a Ballroom or Latin dance that they haven't yet performed.
