The Saturdays to perform at Children in Need in Wales

All-girl group The Saturdays will be brightening up Friday 19 November when they join Pudsey to celebrate a very special Children in Need night live from Wales's Millennium Stadium.

The Saturdays will be joined by all-male choir Only Men Aloud to wow the crowds during half-time of the autumn international rugby match Wales v Fiji.

The half-time concert, presented by The One Show's Alex Jones, will be beamed live to living rooms across the UK as part of the 91Èȱ¬'s annual Children in Need TV appeal.

"We are honoured and privileged to be taking part is this years Children In Need at The Millennium Stadium. To be taking part in such an iconic and worthwhile cause is amazing and we’re very much looking forward to performing," say The Saturdays.

Tim Rhys-Evans of Only Men Aloud adds: "It's an honour to be supporting such an important charity – especially as this will be the third year running that we’ve performed at the heart of the 91Èȱ¬ Cymru Wales contribution to Children In Need.

"It's always great to sing on the pitch of the Millennium Stadium and it should be a fantastic night. Great music, good family atmosphere, hopefully raising loads of money for Children in Need. All we need now is a Wales victory!"

Alex is just one of the Welsh celebrities who has been seen sporting special Official Pudsey Welsh Rugby Beanie Hats, which are being sold to support the Appeal – which this year asks supporters to Show Us Your Spots.

Wales Today presenter Lucy Owen and X-Ray co-presenter husband Rhodri Owen, weather forecasters Derek Brockway and Behnaz Akhgar and Sport Wales presenter Jason Mohammad are all appearing in new television trails for the charity campaign, as are 91Èȱ¬ Radio Wales presenters Jamie Owen and Louise Elliott and comedian Chris Corcoran.

And Wales rugby stars Jamie Roberts and Stephen Jones have also added their support to the campaign.

The 91Èȱ¬ Cymru Wales beanie hats in support of Pudsey are priced £6 and available from bbc.co.uk/pudseywales, or by phone at 03700 101051. Standard geographic charges from land lines and mobiles apply.
