The Rob Brydon Show – new to 91Èȱ¬ Two

Rob Brydon is set to star in his own comedy entertainment show for 91Èȱ¬ Two.

The Rob Brydon Show sees Rob take the audience into his world sharing his experiences as a dad, husband and a famous face. And while viewers may think it's all glamour, he's just like every other befuddled man, unable to deal with the plumbing or panicked at the thought of school sports day.

Featuring a mix of stand-up from Rob and from a guest comedian each week – hand-picked by Rob – there will also be a host of top musical guests, where Rob will take the chance to sing alongside them, showcasing his skills as a No.1-selling music artist as well as offering some performance tips.

Filmed in front of a live studio audience, Rob will pick out characters and joke with them as only he can.

Rob Brydon said: "I don't think I've ever been this excited before."

The Rob Brydon Show will air later this year and is part of 91Èȱ¬ Two's entertainment offering alongside hit shows including Mock The Week and Never Mind The Buzzcocks, as well as David Mitchell's new comedy news-quiz The Bubble and Frank Skinner's Opinionated.

The Rob Brydon Show was commissioned by Janice Hadlow, Controller, 91Èȱ¬ Two, and Mark Linsey, Controller, 91Èȱ¬ Entertainment Commissioning.

Janice Hadlow, Controller 91Èȱ¬ Two said: I'm delighted that Rob is joining the channel with his own show. Smart, funny and with his own distinctive style, he's the perfect compliment to the fantastic range of entertainment across 91Èȱ¬ Two."

Mark Linsey, Controller Entertainment Commissioning added: "An outstanding comic actor, a chart topping singer and now the host of his own show – there is no end to Rob's talents. With a mixture of stand up, music and more importantly Rob's own funny take on the world, this show is sure to be a hit."

The Rob Brydon Show is an Arbie production for the 91Èȱ¬. The executive producer is Miles Ross for Arbie. The series producer is Dave Morley, Head of Comedy Entertainment, talkbackTHAMES.
