Su Pennington has been appointed to the new role of Head of Editorial Standards, 91Èȱ¬ Academy.

Reporting to Anne Morrison, Director 91Èȱ¬ Academy, Su will be responsible for integrating editorial standards training into all relevant parts of the 91Èȱ¬ Academy portfolio and for ensuring there is a framework enabling everyone working for the 91Èȱ¬, including freelancers and independent producers working on 91Èȱ¬ commissions, to receive the appropriate editorial standards training.

Su will join the 91Èȱ¬ Academy for one year in January from 91Èȱ¬ Editorial Policy, where she is currently Head of Editorial Policy, Factual.

Commenting on her appointment, Anne Morrison said: "Su's editorial judgement is second to none. It is a great coup for the 91Èȱ¬ Academy to attract someone of Su's outstanding reputation and experience to such a crucial role, leading Editorial Standards training for the benefit of the 91Èȱ¬ and the wider industry."

Su added: "I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the 91Èȱ¬ Academy for a year. I have always been passionate about getting people the help and support they need to produce output that meets the highest of editorial standards.
