Model and businesswoman Jo Wood tonight became the sixth celebrity to be voted off the seventh series of 91Èȱ¬ One's Strictly Come Dancing.
In week six of the competition, all 11 of the remaining celebrity contestants and their professional dance partners took to the floor to dance either a samba or an American Smooth.
After tonight's performance, the combination of the judges' scores and viewers' votes left Jo Wood and her professional partner Brendan Cole in the bottom two and facing the dance-off with long jumper and Olympic athlete Jade Johnson and her professional partner Ian Waite.
Jo and Brendan then performed their samba to Superstition and Jade and Ian their samba to Independent Woman for a second time for the judges' deciding vote.
Making their decision on who to save, the judges said –
Craig Revel Horwood: "Jade and Ian."
Alesha Dixon: "You've been a fantastic sport Jo, but I have to save Jade and Ian."
Bruno Tonioli: "It's not difficult, Jade and Ian."
With three votes cast in their favour, Jade and Ian were saved and through to next week's show making Head Judge Len Goodman's vote academic, although he said his vote would have also gone to Jade and Ian.
On tonight's show Jo and Brendan were awarded 14 points for their samba by the judges – the lowest score ever recorded for a samba in the series.
On leaving the competition, Jo said: "I'm surprised I lasted this long, it's a miracle!
"He's [Brendan] been wonderful to me, he's been absolutely fantastic. I've enjoyed every second."
Brendan agreed with Jo that he had enjoyed every second of the competition, saying: "Me too, Jo Wood, me too."
Jo also revealed that she would still be dancing with Brendan even though they are out of the competition, saying: "I'm going to go dance with him on his tour, for one little cameo... just one dance!"
Tonight's show saw crooner Harry Connick Jr perform The Way You Look Tonight and viewers were treated to a cha-cha-cha by World Latin Champions Michael Malitowski and Joanna Leunis.
As well as this, Strictly's professional dancers performed a group jive.
Next week, the remaining 10 couples will dance to stay in the competition.
