91Èȱ¬ Political Correspondent Tim Iredale is the new face of The Politics Show in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Huddersfield-born Tim, 37, will present the regional opt-out of the show when it returns to our screens this Sunday on 91Èȱ¬ One at 11.00am.
He said: "I've been working on the show for a couple of years now but am really looking forward to this opportunity to present – particularly in the run-up to an election.
"Viewers can look forward to some in-depth, intelligent, interesting and entertaining interviews on all the issues that affect them and how they vote."
Now living in Bradford, Tim's career as a journalist has taken him to the extremes of the UK – from Scotland to the West Country and many points in-between.
He returned to his roots when he was offered a job at Yorkshire Television in 2001 and moved to the 91Èȱ¬ as Political Editor for the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region five years later.
Tim can often be seen and heard on national TV and radio. He is regularly used as a network correspondent by the 91Èȱ¬, appearing on the Today programme on 91Èȱ¬ Radio 4, 91Èȱ¬ Radio 5 Live and the 91Èȱ¬ News channel.
Like many political journalists, Tim says the favourite part of his job is covering elections.
Tim lives with his wife, a veterinary nurse.
