91Èȱ¬ Bristol announces extended commentary deal for football fans

91Èȱ¬ Bristol today announces its plans for live football commentary for the coming season.

91Èȱ¬ Bristol will cover away games for Bristol City and Bristol Rovers on 94.9 FM while the main schedule continues on 1548 AM.

This season, for the first time, City and Rovers home games will feature on DAB digital radio.

91Èȱ¬ Bristol's Managing Editor, Tim Pemberton, said: "Having extra commentary of the home games on DAB is a great option for sports fans, who can also follow the away games on our FM frequency.

"We are fortunate to have a great commentary team in Geoff Twentyman, Richard Hoskin and Alistair Durden and our relationship with the clubs goes from strength to strength."

Geoff Twentyman said: "The whole sports team at 91Èȱ¬ Bristol are really looking forward to the coming season, we're hoping for a successful one.

"It's great that we are now covering every game, home and away, as I know fans have been hoping for that for a while.

"It's a great result before the season has even started."

91Èȱ¬ Bristol is broadcast on 94.9, 104.6 and 103.6 FM across Bristol, Bath, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire and on 91Èȱ¬ iPlayer.
